Bespoke Stationery Process
Every stationer has their own way of working, and it's essential to understand my process before placing your order. When you choose to work with me, the experience is straightforward and personalized to your needs:
1. Initial Contact & Inspiration
Your journey begins by sending me an email with all your wedding details. Full payment is required upfront to secure your project. From that point, I take care of the rest. Since design is a highly visual process, sharing a Pinterest board, images, or any inspiration is incredibly helpful. If you have a particular color scheme, theme, or invitation size in mind, feel free to share those details, too. Even the simplest designs should tell a story—tell me yours, and I’ll work to bring your vision to life.
Each couple’s needs are unique, and so are the designs. Pricing will vary accordingly, and I offer detailed quotes after a consultation.
2. Design & Proofing
Once your deposit is confirmed, I’ll start designing. You will receive your first proof through Zazzle’s design tool template, where you can review and suggest any changes. Once you approve the designs, I will provide you with a final Zazzle template for customization and ordering.
If you have opted for "print on your own" during the quoting process, I’ll email you high-resolution digital designs in JPEG format. These files can be printed at home, with a professional printing service, or used on social media. However, these designs are not for resale.
Please note that if you request a high-resolution digital file after we've already quoted your project for printing through Zazzle, an additional fee will apply. This is because the digital option is separate from the printing service, and providing a reusable digital file requires a different preparation process. To avoid extra charges, please let us know during the quoting phase if you'd like to receive a digital file, which will allow us to adjust the quote accordingly.
Important: Print colors can vary depending on your monitor, printer, or printing company. I highly recommend test printing before placing a large order, as I am not responsible for variations in color.
3. Printing
I don’t handle any in-house printing. My expertise is in design, while professional printers take care of production to ensure top-notch quality. If you order through Zazzle, printing and shipping costs are additional and paid directly through Zazzle when you order your prints.
4. Quotes & Payments
Design fees are non-refundable and must be paid in full before work begins. My custom design process includes up to three rounds of revisions (within reason). If your revisions involve completely changing the design direction, additional fees may apply, which we can discuss on a case-by-case basis. After the first three revisions, each new round of changes or additional illustrations will incur a $25+ fee.
Due to the bespoke nature of my services, all sales are final, and no refunds or exchanges are provided. You are responsible for reviewing all text and details in your proofs. Once you approve the final proof, you assume responsibility for any errors. I suggest having someone else review the proof with you to catch any mistakes.
5. Timelines
Once your deposit is received and details are confirmed, I aim to send the first design proof within the agreed turnaround time. While I strive to meet deadlines, unexpected delays can happen, and I will always keep you informed.
6. Credits & Reviews
If you share my work on social media or online, I would greatly appreciate a credit! Your reviews and testimonials mean a lot to me and help others see the quality of my designs.
7. Final Notes
This process ensures that your stationery suite is crafted specifically to your story. Whether you opt for digital files or print through Zazzle, my goal is to make the entire design process enjoyable and the final product something you’ll love.
