IYHTVDesigns | Terms & Conditions + How I Work
Every stationer has their own approach to custom design. Here’s what you can expect when working with me, including important policies and FAQs.
✨ How I Work: A Creative Collaboration
1. Getting Started
Your project begins once payment is received. You'll send over your event details and inspiration—Pinterest boards, reference photos, color palettes, and any must-have elements. The more visual direction you provide up front, the smoother the process will be.
2. Design Process
All custom pieces are created in Procreate using a digital watercolor technique that mimics a hand-painted look. You’ll receive your first design proof via a private link on Zazzle (or via digital file, depending on your package - you must advise if you want any of the files in digital format before the project is quoted), with the chance to approve or request edits.
3. Revisions
Every custom project includes up to three rounds of revisions. These are for reasonable refinements: wording changes, small layout adjustments, or tweaks to included illustrations.
Revisions that fall outside the original scope—such as repainting, completely changing the style or layout direction, or adding new illustrations—may require additional fees (typically starting at $25+ per illustration).
4. Redirection & Rework
If you later decide to revert to a previously approved design direction (e.g., switching map layouts or reworking completed illustrations), this is treated as a new request and will be quoted separately.
5. My Style
I work in a specific illustrative style and do not replicate other artists' work. If a request falls outside the range of what I offer, I’ll always be upfront about that.
6. Communication
Consolidated feedback is appreciated to keep projects on track. Repeated rework due to fragmented or unclear feedback may impact your timeline.
📅 Turnaround Time
Custom projects: Typically completed within 4–6 weeks, unless otherwise quoted.
Rush requests: Available for an additional fee, based on availability.
Please let me know up front if you have a firm deadline.
💼 Payments, Refunds & Scope
Full payment is due before I begin your project.
Design fees are non-refundable once work has begun.
Each project includes three rounds of revisions. Additional edits or illustration requests are quoted at $25+.
If you request high-res digital files after originally choosing Zazzle printing, a digital prep fee will apply.
🎟️ Printing & File Delivery
I do not offer in-house printing.
Zazzle orders are placed directly through their site; printing and shipping fees are handled there.
For digital designs, you’ll receive high-resolution JPEG files formatted for self-printing.
Once finalized, Zazzle templates are delivered via a personalized link for ordering and final tweaks.
⚡️ Final Notes
Colors may appear differently on various screens and printers.
Final proofreading is the client’s responsibility. Once approved, I am not liable for typos or omissions.
I recommend having a second set of eyes review your design before printing.
💬 FAQ
When should we reach out for bespoke wedding stationery?
Please reach out at least 4–6 months before your wedding (or earlier). Custom illustrations like maps or venue portraits take time and are scheduled based on my queue. Booking early secures your spot!
What does “booking into ____ turnaround” mean?
It means I’m currently working on other projects, and your design will begin in queue, with delivery expected in the quoted timeframe, depending on scope. This is standard for custom work.
How long do custom illustrations take?
On average:
Venue or pet portraits: 2–4 weeks
Maps: 3–6 weeks
Full custom suites: 6–10 weeks
Timelines include design, revisions, and file prep—but not printing/shipping, which may take 2–4 additional weeks.
What if we’re using a ready-made Zazzle template?
If you're not requesting custom artwork, turnaround is much faster. Here is the recommended time to order ready-made designs through Zazzle.
Save the Dates: Order 6–8 months before the wedding
Invitations: 3–4 months before
Day-of items: 4–6 weeks before
I’m happy to help with wording or minor edits if needed!
